New Interface

Be sure to notice the new code interface and click on Copy from now on, if you try to paste the code, as before, it will show line numbers !! Click Help for more information
Yes, you read correct, there is now a new code interface allowing you to copy and paste the code for use in just a couple click and a couple key strokes instead of scrolling hundereds of lines of code, and risking over shooting code and causing unnecessary errors. I'm slowly migrating the current programs/scripts to the new interface, those of you interested in using it, in say your blog... you can check it out at:

http://code.google.com/p/syntaxhighlighter/

it's pretty sexy and nice to use. Those wanting to get it setup on Mediawiki.... well, it's a pain in the butt, and I may or may not create a walk through for it. Adventurous folks can use the guide I used, but it's way outdated. but it's found at:

http://blog.nkadesign.com/2007/mediawiki-formating-and-colouring-code/

The versions have changed since that tutorial was written, there are new features, and my installation is pretty customized, since the Copy to Clipboard feature only seems to work with IE. And I made a few other changes to it, but I left the MediaWiki Extension alone. Note, both versions merged into one. We'll leave the older CLI version up for a while to test this one is as fast on the command line as that one ;)

Few Updates

You may notice the new menu up there, I've added it in the hopes of making the wiki easier to navigate and find everything easier. I've also added every article to a corresponding Category and filled in the category pages some so they will be easier to navigate. So Let me know if you run into empty categories or pages without categories. I am aware of the Mixed up Namespaces and I'll be moving those around to correct the problem, so you'll have to update your bookmarks. I'll toss up a Javascript alert whenever I change them. The FixPerm script will soon be merged back into it's own page, since Joe has made the one version of the program work on both the Command Line and the Web Browser, so keep that in mind too. Have a great day, evening, or night or whatever you call it. ;-)
